"Price tracking felt a little suspicious"
I mainly tried Honey for the price tracking, thinking it would help me catch a decent deal without having to babysit every item myself. But it didn’t really come through the way I expected, and after a while I started wondering if the whole system was designed to keep me just slightly confused.

A few alerts showed up after the price had already moved, and sometimes the price history looked weird, incomplete, or like it had conveniently forgotten certain drops. Maybe it’s just messy data, but it definitely made me feel like I still had to go check other sites myself to see if the “deal” was even real.
The coupons are fine here and there, so I’m not saying Honey is totally useless. But for price tracking, I expected it to be more reliable. As it is, I don’t fully trust it, feels like there’s always something going on behind the curtain.

"Honey’s been decent for me..."
Honey’s been decent for me overall, like I have saved a little money here and there, so I can’t really complain about that part. But the login thing gets old fast. Sometimes it tells me my password is wrong even right after I reset it, and then later it’ll just work again like nothing happened.

Support wasn’t rude or anything, they were just kinda slow and gave basic answers. I still keep using Honey because it does help sometimes, but yeah, not being able to reliably get into my account makes it more annoying than it needs to be

"Not really finding many deals anymore"
I’ve been using Honey for a while, and it just doesn’t seem to find many working codes anymore. A lot of stores either have no deals or the ones it shows are already expired. It’s not totally useless, but it’s really kind of disappointing compared to how helpful it used to be.

"I figured Honey would probably work..."
I figured Honey would probably work the way these coupon tools usually do, sometimes it finds something, sometimes it doesn’t. That was pretty much my experience. It didn’t work for every store, but at checkout it found a code for me and I ended up saving a little money. I wouldn’t assume it’s going to magically discount every order, but it’s easy enough to try.

"Helpful app, but the reward timing feels a bit harsh"
I’ve found Honey useful here and there, especially when it actually finds a discount without me having to dig around. My main issue is with the rewards expiring if you’re not paying close attention. I missed out once, and it felt frustrating because I assumed I’d have more time to use them. To me, the app still does what it’s supposed to do, but the reward system could be a lot better if they gave clearer reminders or a bigger heads-up before anything expires.

"Honey has worked on a bunch..."
Honey has worked on a bunch of sites I already shop at, so that’s been handy. I’ve seen it pop up for clothing, food delivery, and even a couple travel-related things, which was a nice surprise.
It’s not magic or anything though. Some smaller stores either don’t have codes, or the ones it tries just don’t work. Still, it’s saved me money a few times, so yeah, 4 stars feels about right

"Pretty handy on my phone"
I’ve been using Honey mostly on my phone, and it’s been easy to deal with. When I’m checking out, the coupons just kind of show up and it does that thing where it tries them for me. It doesn’t work everywhere, which is a little hit or miss, but when it does, I usually save a few bucks. Nothing too complicated, and I haven’t really had any issues with it.

"Not really worth the hassle now"
I used Honey for a bit because, who doesn’t want to save a few bucks? But most of the time the codes it tried were expired, didn’t apply, or just kind of sat there doing nothing. I’d be checking out, waiting for it to work its magic, and then nope, same total.

Every once in a while it would find something, but the discount was usually so small I barely noticed. Like, sure, a little savings is nice, but then I’m thinking about the extra clicks, the waiting, and whether it even matters. For regular shopping, it just doesn’t feel worth the time anymore

"The rewards do work, but I feel a..."
The rewards do work, but I feel a little embarrassed admitting I expected more from the cashback. Most of the time it’s low, so it’s nice to get something back, but it’s not exactly exciting.

"Not as privacy-worrying as I expected"
I expected the privacy side of things to be more confusing or a little invasive, but it’s been totally fine so far. The settings are easy to understand, and I like that I can pick what I’m comfortable with. I haven’t noticed anything weird or sketchy, and overall it just works without feeling too nosy. Definitely better than I thought it would be.

"Setup was easy, I guess"
Getting it installed was actually painless and only took a few minutes. I was feeling good about it, then the browser permissions popped up and felt a little over the top. Still, it seems to be working fine so far, so maybe I’m just being picky.

"Not that useful outside the US"
I used Honey for a while, it feels like it’s mainly built for US stores. I’m in Europe, and most of the codes either never show up, or they just don’t work at checkout. Sometimes it even says there are no coupons, on big sites. It’s easy enough to use, sure, but if you shop internationally, it’s kind of useless. I really wish they supported more countries better.

"Made my browser way too slow"
Honey did find a coupon here and there, so I can’t say it was totally useless. But after I added it, Chrome just started feeling really sluggish. Pages were taking longer, tabs were dragging, and if I had a couple shopping sites open… yeah, it got annoying fast.
I ended up removing the extension, and pretty much right away my browser felt normal again. Maybe it works better for some people, but for me, saving a few dollars once in a while just wasn’t worth dealing with all that lag…

"Not gonna lie, the droplist alerts are inconsistent"
Not gonna lie, the droplist alerts have been hit or miss for me. A few of them came in late, which kind of defeats the purpose when you're trying to act fast.

"Nice for quick price checking"
I’ve actually found Honey handy when I’m trying to compare prices before buying something, it’s not perfect every time and sometimes the “better” price is only a few cents cheaper, but it still saves me from opening a bunch of tabs and checking everything myself, and I really like the price history part because it helps me decide if I should wait a bit or just go ahead and buy it

"Pretty solid compared to other coupon tools"
I’ve been using Honey for a while now, and compared to manually searching for promo codes, it’s definitely easier. It shows up on most checkout pages I use and runs through codes without me having to do much. It doesn’t work everywhere, and sometimes it tries a bunch of codes with no luck, so I wouldn’t say it’s perfect. But when it does find a discount, even a small one, it feels worth having installed.

"Rewards take forever and the reminders are annoying"
Honey is okay when it actually works, but the rewards take way too long to show up. I bought something weeks ago and it’s still just sitting there pending. I also keep getting these pushy reminders, which gets old fast when I’m already waiting on rewards that haven’t come through. Support didn’t really give me a clear answer either. It’s not the worst thing ever, but it’s frustrating.

"The auto coupons feature was useless..."
The auto coupons feature was useless. It acted like it was supposed to save me money, but the coupons never applied correctly. Kind of a dumb little system if it can’t even do the one thing it’s there for

"Helpful, but the popups get kinda annoying"
I do find it useful overall, but the popups come up way too often sometimes. It’s not a dealbreaker or anything, just gets a bit much when I’m trying to use it without being interupted.

"I’ve had mixed luck with Honey..."
I’ve had mixed luck with Honey. Every now and then it finds a coupon code that actually works and saves me a few bucks, which is always nice. But plenty of times, it runs through a bunch of codes and none of them work once I get to checkout. I still keep it around because it’s easy to try, but I don’t really count on it. When it works, I feel pleasantly surprised; when it doesn’t, it’s just a little disappointing.
